I am always happy to promote new books published by fellow bloggers. Teagan is no exception, and I am pleased to feature her new novel. She is an American, a published author, and a blogger too. And what a blogger! Generous, involved, and engaged, she is an example to us all of what a good blogger is all about. As well as promoting her own writing, she is to be found popping up all over, with her encouraging comments, and witty asides. I have never met her, but I wish I had.
Her latest book is something unusual, and all the more exciting for that too.
Imagine asking people to give you three random things. Then combine those into blog posts, eventually constructing a novel around the same theme. Not easy, we would all agree. But Teagan pulled it off with aplomb, in her latest book, ‘Murder At The Bijou’.
Imagine the time, the ‘Jazz Age’, and the place, Georgia in America’s sultry south. Add the exploits of a flapper, the unusual construction, and you have something fresh and unique in fiction. If you think that this is something that would appeal to you to buy and read, please investigate the links that follow.
And if you would like to know more about Teagan, and her other novels, here is a link to her site.

Here is a short bio too, supplied by Teagan.
Author Bio ― Teagan Ríordáin Geneviene
I’m sure you’ve seen the same advice I always see for us Indies – You must have a blog to promote your work! Well, I couldn’t bear the thought of droning on about my novel (Atonement, Tennessee) with every post. Instead, I modified a writing exercise I created for myself long ago. I brought that exercise to my blog (Teagan’s Books). I had the readers send me three random things. I let the random things drive every detail of a serial story, setting, plot, and characters. That resulted in The Three Things Serial Story, which gave birth to my current release, a culinary mystery. However, this time the “things” are food related — or ingredients. So that one is Murder at the Bijou — Three Ingredients I. At reader request, I’ve finally published both of those serials in book form.
I’m a southerner by birth, but I was “enchanted” by the desert southwest of the USA when I moved to New Mexico. Like the old John Denver song, I had come home to a place I’d never been before. The truth is, I wish every day that I had never left. However, many things about the southeast – the deep south made an impact that remains with me. Following the advice, “Write what you know,” many of my stories have a southern setting.

I live in the Desert Southwest (Southern Nevada), but have crisscrossed New Mexico many times, and do indeed find that the state offers an enchanting landscape. The book mentioned here intrigues me immensely, and I’ll have to check it out. And Teagan’s blog, too.

Vashti, you are so kind. I hope things are on the mind after the hurricane. I realize you have a ton of work to do, as well as even more work because of all the “inconveniences”… I hope you finally have water and electricity.
I appreciate you for this visit. Oh, and I gave your wonderful review of The Three Things Serial Story a shout out on my post today. Take care. Huge hugs.

Thanks I looked at the book on Amazon and realised it’s the second in a series (I love series!) so will start with the first.

🙂 The first is only a novella — a very quick read. There is a third novel in the “Pip-verse” I hesitate to predict, but I might have it ready in six months. You are so kind. I appreciate your time today.
