Primrose Hill, between Camden Town, and St. Johnโs Wood, offers one of the best views over London available from anywhere in the Capital. A short climb up the hill, which is surrounded by a small park, rewards the visitor with a marvellous vista, stretching across Central London to the river, and beyond. Thanks Pete. London is a great city to visit! So many things to see and explore including the museums. We did manage to get to Greenwich and loved it. I have a picture of the Cutty Sark in my collection somewhere.

Glad you made it to Greenwich. So many tourists never travel south of the river. ๐
Best wishes, Pete.

On both of our trips to London we stayed south of the Thames; it was cheaper but still near many interesting places. So it was natural to take a couple of boat trips on the river. The other one we took was to Kew Gardens; unfortunately too late in the day to actually see the gardens! maybe next time. ๐

I’m wondering: What’s the elevation rise of these parks that afford visitors a view of London?

Sometimes i hope i will visit by myself. Even if UK is no longer member of the EU. Who knows, perhaps the next exit will be on our friends in the Czech Republic or in Poland. The Germans – my lovely compatriots ๐ – would have managed this with Greece. Best wishes, Michael
