After four solid days and nights of torrential rain, I have to note that it has just stopped raining!
Registered at 19:43 hours, on the 13th of June. (Yes, Summer!)
When the cessation of rain is worth a blog post, you truly know what it is like to have been under water for so long.
I don’t think for a moment that this is the end of it, but not having to listen to rain hitting the windows is a joy beyond compare.
So, for all of you perhaps tired of days that are too warm and dry. Be careful what you wish for!
It was worth using ‘bold print’, I assure you!
Thank goodness, Pete! Any flooding?

Just outside, in the shed attached to the garage. That has slowed to a mini-flood now! 🙂
But it started raining three hours after I wrote this, and more on the way tomorrow!
Best wishes, Pete.

Everything is unseasonal here as well. However, since we need rain, I doubt very much we will get any–perhaps a marine layer at best. Warmest regards, Theo

We could build a pipeline from Beetley to the PNW. But it might take a little longer than we both have left. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

We got the cold and rain here. I thought weather went from west to east, not from east to west!

It is coming from the north-east here, Elizabeth. It stopped raining again just after 7 pm. But more is forecast. Just as well I am not a person inclined to suicide! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

Good for you Pete. Ollie must be happy, he could do his afternoon walks again.

He has had all his walks, even in the heaviest rain, Arlene. It only stopped raining for four hours last night, but started again before midnight.
Best wishes, Pete.

I thought Ollie doesn’t go out when it is raining. Good thing there is no flash flood Pete.

Ollie is taken ut in all weathers, Arlene. He doesn’t care what it’s doing. It is just me that has to ‘suffer’.

Haha, we are getting old Pete and our reflexes are not that fit anymore.

Okay, but Queen Elizabeth II is still reigning over Beetley.

I wonder if she will ‘see me out’, David? Her husband is 98 now, so she could well outlive me. Sadly.
Best wishes, Pete.

No sun, Teagan. But the sound of rain has stopped, at least for now. It was like a medieval torture! 🙂
