  1. I don’t remember the song you’ve posted here. But I do remember this 1965 song:

Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain so yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When you were a young and callow fellow,
Try to remember and if you remember then follow.

(Lyrics by Tom Jones; sung by Jerry Orbach)

  2. Great pick, Pete. It’s funny how some songs trigger great memories. I remember it being 1978, and I had just gotten my first apartment with a buddy. This song was all over the airwaves at the time.

  3. Pete, this Saturday night I will be seeing “Earth Wind & Fireworks” at The Hollywood Bowl – the band, led by lead singer Philip Bailey, will play all their hits and end with a fireworks display above the bowl…I posted last year when I saw them at Napa Valley’s Bottle Rock concert and they were incredible: energetic and flawless in their performance…look forward to a video being posted afterwards!
