“Can You Visit My Blog?”

No, not this one.

That is an example of one of the many comments I have been getting just this week.

Here are some more.

“Great post. Please check out my blog”.

“Nice work”. (Link attached)

“Please visit my blog and let me know what you think of it”.

“I love this post! I think you will like my blog too”. (Link attached)

“Can you please look at my blog and let me know what you think?”

And many more…

In all cases, Worpress held these comments ‘In moderation’, for me to approve. I checked out all the blog names and links, and sure enough, they were trying to sell stuff. Everything from security cameras, to luxury holidays and apartments.

As I have warned you in the past, I marked all these comments as Spam, and then deleted them.

Keep sending me these spurious rubbish comments, and I will keep marking you down as a spammer.

You have been warned!

  1. Keep coll and calm, Pete! πŸ˜‰ They only want to get more audience, as so many people posting at Instagram and Twitter. Whats about making a own blog for Ollie, and he could answer the comments. LoL Best wishes, Michael – By the way: The mission “postcard” – better “letter from Germany” – started today, just before high noon. In my opinion it could arrive at Beetley on Saturday, if UK Mail – a subsidiary of Deutsche Post AG i read – will do its best.

  2. I don’t even check them out if/what they want to sell. Once in a while I check my spam folders to see if there’s a “real” response, but all others I delete without reading or checking.

    1. These are not the ones in the Spam folder, Pit. They are the ones who ‘get through’ to moderation because they have ‘proper sites’. I am getting a lot of this type lately.
      Best wishes, Pete.

  3. I did a post a year ago called Health Alert and I have gotten fake meds sites from Russia at the tune of about 100 Spam a day..then there is one I did 10 years ago Watermelon makes you horny….and I get lots pf porn on that post……..they never learn…LOL chuq

  4. Sometimes teachers assign the kids to open a blog as an assignment. I got bombarded with those last year and the year before. Lately I’ve been getting businesses hoping to get every cent (and that’s all I have) out of me!!

    1. I was very supportive to some of those ‘school kid’ blogs last year, GP. But this latest crop are just salespeople who somehow imagine I am rich! πŸ™‚
(One sent me details of a 3-million dollar apartment!)
      Best wishes, Pete.

  5. I wish i had kept the contents of the last comment I deleted as it was in Spanish and some other language that did not translate at all. The link, however, tred to sell me something. The tip-ff for me is they comment on a blog in the middle of a story I published a year or two ago, OR on at least a six-month-old posting. Warmest regards, Theo

    1. Thanks for the tip, Ami. The ones mentioned all had different websites, in various countries. I was quite happy with being able to mark them down as ‘Spam’. πŸ™‚
      Best wishes, Pete.

      1. Thank you, Pete. I am feeling much better but a lot weaker and the problem is that I can’t resist blogging. So I am just writing a short blog.
I am tired too but there’s nothing that can be done except blocking their comments.
