My two most popular photos

I have posted a lot of photos on this blog.

Those of Ollie are very popular of course. Then there is the one on my ‘About’ page. That gets a lot of comments.

Holiday snaps, old buildings, and photos sourced from the Internet to illustrate posts or stories.

Photo prompts, used as inspiration for fiction, with the photo in the post.
Unusual or historical buildings, even ancient ruins. I like to take photos, and I often like to feature images on this blog too.

However, recent research (clicks on media) has shown me which two are the most popular photos on this blog.

The most viewed. Every day, seven days a week, since I published this post in August.

Bad Taste? : Wedding Photos

After seven years plus of blogging, this is what it comes down to, image-wise.

2)

Naturally, I am at complete loss as to why these two photos are the most popular. πŸ™‚

  1. I remember the post – how could anyone forget it. I’m curious about the search terms people used to find your post πŸ™‚ Or, but surely not, it’s your blog followers making repeat visits?

    1. Some of the search terms show up in the stats.
      ‘Bad wedding dresses’
      ‘Revealing Wedding dresses’
      ‘Exposed Brides’
      And so on… πŸ™‚
When I did the original post, I used the line ‘Trashy wedding dresses’, in Google Images search.
      Best wishes, Pete.

  2. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ Thanks for this brilliant start to a gloomy, wet Wednesday, Pete! You have given me a lot to ponder on right now as I’m preparing images for a competition tonight. 🀣

  3. 🀣🀣🀣🀣 Sounds about right to me!! People like weird things… My most popular post is still my review of “Bear” by Marian Engel and my featured image for it was “Ted” the crass teddy bear from the movie of the same title, twerking a parking meter…. There’s no accounting for what catches the public attention! 🀣🀣

  4. Pete, thank you for all of the research you put into this story….you must have spent hours analyzing these photos to determine what might have led people to “click” on them….and were those REAL dresses?!?!?!

    1. They are all real wedding photos, John.
      Relating to the original post, they are as follows;

The top photo is a ‘Gipsy’ wedding in the UK. (Two shots of her)
The girl almost falling out of her dress by the car is from Russia. (Moscow)
The good-looking girl with the ‘Russ Meyer’ assets is American, and the unfortunate ”saggy’ lady at the bottom is from Belarus.

Believe it or not, I found ‘worse’ ones. One totally see through dress, the bride naked underneath, and another with her nipples exposed over a white basque. But I thought they might be ‘too much’ for most readers. πŸ™‚
      Best wishes, Pete.
