A Thanksgiving Wish

We don’t have Thanksgiving here, and this close to Christmas, I give thanks for that. πŸ™‚

However, I would like to wish all my American friends, followers, and readers
A Very Happy Thanksgiving.

I hope that you all have family, friends, or someone special to spend the annual holiday with. Relish the company. Eat, drink, and enjoy.

Remember those empty chairs too, those you have lost over the years.
Recall happy memories from when they were also around the table.

Spare a thought for those spending the holiday alone, or families who don’t have enough money to splash out on traditional food.

Forget politics for a few days, enjoy some peace and happiness.

And don’t forget to save some energy for Christmas!

Whoever you are with, and wherever you are, you know you will always have a friend here in Beetley.

My very best wishes to you all, Pete.

  1. What a lovely sentiment, Pete. Thanks, my friend. Guess what? I’m usually the hostess-with-the-mostess, and this year told the world “I’m taking a bye!”
I’m all alone with my puppy and have no intentions of messing up the kitchen by cooking and cleaning. Ha!

  2. I looked into a “turnkey operation”…only to find out that it involved taking phone orders for birds being raised at a turkey farm. I think the typo was intentional to generate inquiries! They can take this opportunity…and stuff it!

  3. Terrific sentiment Pete….as Rocky Balboa said to Adrien: “to you it’s Thanksgiving. To me it’s Thursday.” You are right that we should be thankful regarding of what or how we celebrate today!
