An Absent Blogger: The Explanation

Many of you in our close community will have noticed that the lovely Kim has been ‘missing’ from our blogs, and hers, for more than a week now.

Her blog is better known as ‘By Hook Or By Book’. For those of you who don’t know her, here is a link to that blog.

I was concerned, as it was not like her not to post, or to miss commenting on other blogs. Luckily, we have each other’s email addresses, so she was able to contact me.

I am pleased to report that she is fine! After a storm close to their Alabama home, Kim and Tom lost all Internet access, and she has only had occasional use of Tom’s phone for messages.

As soon as some parts have been replaced by the phone company, she will be be back online, and back to the blog.

Meanwhile, make sure you keep following her great blog. 🙂

      1. You have done more for our blogging community with this post than you realize, Pete. You know how the television interviews go of some guy who has done a great thing. The guy says anyone would have done the same thing, etc. Well, you are that guy, and not everyone would have done the same thing. Thank you for being who you are.

  6. That’s very nice of you, Pete, to check on her. I follow her blog as well. She knows her stuff, her book reviews are very reliable and she’s a fine writer. I’m glad she’s okay. Alabama gets some nasty storms. It’s part of tornado alley.

    1. Thanks, Pam. I have a habit of checking up on ‘missing’ bloggers, and Kim knew that. Fortunately, Kim let me know why she was absent from the blog, so I suggested this post.
      I have corrected the post to show that it was her that let me know.

  16. Its been a rough week weather wise across much of this country Pete. Temps in Florida are twenty degrees lower today than yesterday. Just in the high fifties for most of today. May go below freezing tomorrow night. I’m not complaining. There were tornados in Alabama. Best from chilly Tampa.

    1. Thanks, Frank. I believe those high winds brought down phone lines, and Kim lost her Internet connection.
      Freezing in Florida? Snap! It was -1 C here this morning. 🙂
