We have an all day power cut on Wednesday the 11th. No electricity for eight hours, which means we lose the line-booster signal for wi-fi too.
So no Internet access, whether by PC, Tablet, or phone.
I won’t be online at all in the daytime, and may not get the serial episode published.
I also won’t be able to view your posts and any emails or comments on mine.
If I can get back online in the evening, I will try to catch up.
Horrible news, Pete! Would not think about this could happen here too. But thank you for remembering me to buy some special devices, and a few gallons of fuel.

It was for tree-cutting, Michael. So at least we knew in advance.
Best wishes, Pete.

Thankfully, our power stays on for the most part. Once in a great while, a storm will knock something out for an hour or so. Most of our extended outages are from vehicles hitting poles. Then the pole has to be replaced etc. About 4- 6 hours.

This was arranged in advance, for tree-trimming. At least we had good notice, and made the best of it with a day out.
Best wishes, Pete.

When the kids were living at home, the rare power outages made time for closeness, conversation, board games, memories.

Sorry about your power outage, Pete. We currently have no power either, but our cuts are now so frequent we have an automatic generator.

At least we had good warning, Robbie. They are cutting trees next to power lines locally, and let us know 10 days ago.
Best wishes, Pete.

Ah, so it is not just here that they do this! We used it as an excuse to go out for the day and have breakfast and lunch out. We are also all electric except the heating is oil fired, but needs electricity for the pump. Might be a nice day to take Ollie somewhere new?

We did just that. After breakfst in a cafe, we went to Happisburgh. I think Ollie prefers Beetley Meadows though. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
