I don’t read a lot of nonfiction, but this sounds interesting.

I mainly read historical non-fiction, but books like these are increasingly popular.

A lot of people are held back by money issues. One good thing about writing, though, is that it doesn’t cost anything—other than a few extra dollars on the energy bill, and the price of paper needed for printouts. (The expense of book promotion is another matter.)
It seems that most successful people have never dealt with the challenges that lack of money imposes upon their daily life. They have never had to worry about replacing the bald tires on their car, repairing broken kitchen appliances, or putting at least one meal on the table every day (or every other day). It’s hard to be extraordinary when your primary goal in life is to maintain existence.

Nothing should hold anyone back when you believe in yourself.
I’ve been a professional writer since 1995, earning a living as a journalist for magazines, newspapers, and online publications (and later books).
This particular book that Pete promoted for me a few years ago was published by KiCam, traditionally, not self-published. I received an advance check from them to write the book (as I’ve received advance checks from other publishers over the years to write books). So much for the theory of “starving writer.”
And, successful people DO have to worry about every day challenges. There is no such thing as “overnight success.” (I was 31 before my first article was published.)
But we become successful because we don’t give up when we face those challenges — if not necessarily money challenges, then it could be a death in the family (but only sensitive people would understand that, as many are nonchalant about losing a mother or grandmother).
If you read the book, you’d know these tips are things you can do at zero cost.
Have a most beautiful day. 🙂
