A former schoolteacher, tutor of dyslexics and Kent County Councillor, I am married to Ben and we have two sons, Martin (Sticky) a journalist and Gordon, a part time actor.

Thank you, Pete. As you can see from my recent blog I have just had news of the death of an old friend so I needed cheering up. You have done that brilliantly.
There was an article in today’s paper about exam boards deciding poetry isn’t necessary for English Literature studies.
Who are these philistines!
