Two minutes ago, Twitter decided that I had to ‘Verify’ my account. They insist on sending a confirmation text to my mobile phone. That cannot happen, as my phone is not working at the moment.
So it looks like I will be off Twitter for the foreseeable future, if not for ever.
Just so you know.
If you are using the Firefox browser, there is a solution, Pete! You have to look for an twitter app. This one integrates perfectly into the browser, like on the phone. Michael

I have the Chrome browser, and usually it is not a problem. But they want to send a code to my phone, and my phone is still not working.
Best wishes, Pete.

Twitter is mostly so vitriolic that you’re probably not missing much. I am surprised they didn’t offer a different reset option.

People have sent me tips, Abbi, but I am not feeling well enough to struggle with them at the moment.
I have no vitriol on Twitter, as I only use ot to share blog posts, and for the occasional Direct Message.
Best wishes, Pete.

I’ve seen somebody else complaining of the same with Twitter. Something must be afoot. I know somebody who can’t access his mobile because the nearest mobile mast to his house has been pulled down, so I’m not sure what his options are either. Technology is supposed to make life easier, but that is not always the case. I had major problems with Twitter earlier on but I’m not holding my breath… Take care, Pete, and I hope you manage to sort the issue with the phone, Twitter or no twitter.

Thanks, Olga. I have the Flu now, so will have to wait until I am well enough to go into Norwich and try to sort out the phone.

I don’t do twitter. All that thinking for a brief window of visibility.

Just like that, you’ve destressed. Get rid of things that make you unhappy. Like you say, life is too short to be pissed off all the time.

It’s all about the collection of data – and everything they can glee from and about you.
Tech has become a monster.
It’s getting if we want to play, THEY will determine the rules. Something of a snare once people are entangled/addicted to social media….social media which was suppose to be simply light and fun….no longer.

I agree. It is becoming too overwhelming for me. I need to leave it to the 12 year-olds.

As frustrating as it is, especially in your special case, but those accounts need to be verified from time to time as they’re too easily hacked.
I do hope you’ll get your cell-phone back working again soon.
Best,
Pit
