A Life In Music: Roland Kemp

One of my greatest and oldest friends is Roland Kemp. Photographer, video artist, and musician, he has spent most of his life in one band or another. The first time I met him when I was just 17, it was when a friend took me to see his band play in a small hall in Eltham, South London.

Over fifty-one years ago.

His latest project is this song, called ‘The New Blues’. This is right up my street musically, and comes with an excellent video showcasing the female vocalist, Molly Alro, and many images relevant to the lyrics. If you enjoyed it, please give the video a ‘Like’ on You Tube.

  11. It is really kind of Pete to share THE NEW BLUES, he has supported my musical career during all the years and I utterly respect his opinion and taste.
    I also fully respect Pete’s career choices, he is socially minded to the core however, I always wanted him to be a DJ . . to me it was his calling (he may disagree). He would have been (may still be) a natural.

  12. That is very kind of Pete to showcase the THE NEW BLUES. He has stuck by me and my musical career during all the years.
    I fully appreciate the career choices Pete has made, he is socially minded to the core however, I always wanted him to be a DJ, to me it was his calling . . he may disagree! He would have been (still may be) a natural.
