As my latest fiction serial ‘My Bundle Of Joy’ continues, I have decided to test myself further by writing another serial at the same time.
The weather is still bad, and it is still dark early, so why not?
My original intention was to try to run both serials almost consecutively, as an experiment. But I stopped myself publishing the first part of the new one earlier.
I think two serials at the same time is too confusing for readers, and too much to ask for them to read. But I could be wrong.
Let me know what you think.
I like to immerse myself in one of your created world at a time. Thanks for asking.

That seems to be how most people feel. Elizabeth.
One at a time it is.
Best wishes, Pete.

I’m a one serial at a time gal. I want to thoroughly enjoy each one.

That seems to be the concensus, as I expected. One it is. 🙂

Pete, I think the only issue for you would be if it caused any of your followers to choose one over the other…

Thanks for your thoughts, John. The majority have voted for one at a time, so I will stick with that.
Best wishes, Pete.

I think you should finish the one you’re writing before starting another. My motto has always been “one blessed thing at a time.” But it’s up to you.

Thanks for your valued opinion, Abbie. I have written a couple of episodes, but I will not publish any of them until the current serial has concluded. The readers have spoken. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

I’m loyal to My Bundle of Joy, it would feel like cheating to hook up with another serial, one at a time for me, C

Thanks, Cheryl. I will stick to one at a time, I think.
Best wishes, Pete.

Good for you, roll on with the next serial!

The votes are heavily in favour of one at a time, Sue. I will be ‘democratic’. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

I’m sure I could keep two straight, but I think one at a time is better.

In our daily lives, we follow multiple threads, why should serials be different? But I think you already have your answer, Warmest regards, Theo

I do have the answer. But thanks anyway, Theo. 🙂

You know how I enjoy your serials Pete, but I think one at a time is good.

I agree, and it seems everyone else does. Good to know, before I did something silly! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

Two posted at the same time would be confusing and time consuming to the readers, Pete. Save the second one for posting on the rainy days, of which occur quite often in Beetly, for posting right after you finish Bundle.

Thanks, Don. Most people feel that way, and i suspected they would. I will be saving it, as suggested.
Best wishes, Pete.

I also prefer one serial at a time. Mainly, because I do more than just give each serial entry a quick read-through.

There is no denying that, David. 🙂 🙂

I’m going to concur with the folks who prefer one serial at a time. While I enjoy them, they are a time commitment. Like many bloggers, I have reached the saturation point where I seldom add more blogs to follow—so many blogs, so little time. By the way, the length of your daily serial posts is just right.

Thanks, Pete. I guessed as much, but wanted to make sure.
I follow 112 blogs, and I am also at the point where I can follow no more until some drop out.
Best wishes, Pete.

One serial is enough, and you have the word count just right; not too long.

Thanks, Stevie. Just wanted to confirm that before I made a fool of myself by running two serials together. 🙂

That’s fine. I had expected that. Just wanted to be sure not to start posting the next one.

Sorry, but something would have to give way, as far as I’m concerned, Pete. No offense, I just don’t have the time.

That’s fine, GP. I expected two would be too much, which is why I didn’t publish it. Just wanted to make sure.
Best wishes, Pete.

One a day is fine, time constraints. I’ve taken on too much as it is!

Seems you are inspired to write Pete. It’s been raining here the whole day and it’s cold.

The weather is terrible here too, Arlene. That’s why I might as well write, as I can’t do much else around here, and lockdown means I cannot travel further afield at the moment. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I enjoy reading your blogs, Pete, and I think I could follow more than one serial at a time, but I can only allow a certain amount of time to online reading, so I have to be careful! Having said that, I’d rather skim or ignore some less significant reading matter to be able to read your blogs 😀 Cheers, Jon.

That’s kind of you to say, John. I doubt I will run two serials though. I just wanted to ‘test the water’.

I have to admit, I can no longer follow more than one serial at a time, Pete – in fact, I’ve had to cut down on the research for my blog – my brain must be shrinking 😱😂
