It has all gone now, Wilma. It lasted longer than usual and got much deeper. Then the temperature changed to +12C, and it melted in two days.
Best wishes, Pete.
Yes, he does seem to like snow. I think he enjoys being too cold rather than too hot. š
We had much more snow the following day, really deep for Beetley.
Best wishes, Pete.
It looks beautiful, Pete…I love freshly laid snow…looking at it that is but I do think you could wrap up warm and build a snowman it would just finish of the picture š xx
My snowman building days are behind me, Carol. If the grandchildren had come over, I would have made one, but they are not allowed to visit because of lockdown.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Where is the snowman? ;-)) With this garden you have so many possibilities for gardening. Great! Honestly, its also not mine caring for flowers, bushes or something similar able to grow up by itself. š Michael
I leave the garden to its own devices, Michael. I just cut the grass when it is too long.
It was too cold to stand out there building a snowman. š
Best wishes, Pete.
And to think I wore a short sleeve shirt yesterday when climbing a mountain trail. At least the higher peaks of the Spring Mountains, which are visible from home, are snow-capped right now. Maybe I should drive up to Mt. Charleston Village? The elevation there is 7,510 ft. (2,289 m); I’m sure the village is currently blanketed in snow.
It looks lovely, as long as you don’t have to travel too far in it. And it is very cold of course, Shaily. -2 C with a wind-chill factor adding to that.
Best wishes, Pete.
Goodness, that’s a lot of snow. How does Ollie like it? We haven’t had any – hard frost and blue skies but no snow. I’m hoping it will pass us by entirely.
Lovely trees. That’s rather more snow than we’ve had at the coast, but today is endeavouring to make up for that! There are a previous few sunny intervals between the showers, thankfully. Cheers, Jon.
It was over six inches deep on the car, Darlene. For Beetley, I would call this ‘heavy snow’. I drove my wife to work, as she was scared to drive on the country roads. It wasn’t too bad.
Best wishes, Pete.
I had to drive my wife to work this morning, because she was scared to drive in it. Not so bad, as long as I stayed below 30 mph. š
Best wishes, Pete.
looks like my part of the world, Pete! š

Much better than getting swamped with rain. We need to go a little slower and more cautiously.

It is much nicer to walk in than rain. But driving can be tricky on our local small roads.

I would counsel against avoiding snow, unless you have no alternative.
I have no alternative, sadly. š

The video is very peaceful (but then I do not have sound on my computer by choice). Warmest regards, Theo

The only sound on this is the dripping of some water from nearby guttering. š

Well, I can appreciate from afar. š I don’t think I would ever have to live in the snow, So, I can continue to love it.

We have snow here this morning! Not quite that thick, but enough to be worrying as I have some tender plants outside!

I will post some more video later, and you can see how it settled over on the dog walk.

So pleased I donāt have to drive to work….I used to see some mishaps on the road in this sort of weather…

Luckily, the roads were quiet, and I kept under 30 mph in case I had to stop quickly.
Best wishes, Pete.
