Why It’s Not A ‘Real’ Vaccine

Much is made of the Covid-19 vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna, and Astra Zeneca.

They give us some hope, but we have to remember that they are not a vaccine in the true sense.

I have been vaccinated against Smallpox, Yellow Fever, and Tuberculosis. That means I will not contract those diseases in my lifetime.

However, the vaccines offered against Covid-19 only claim to ‘reduce symptoms that could make you require hospitalisation’.

They are NOT a cure.

That doesn’t mean we should not have them. I have had mine. But it does mean that we will almost certainly have to have an annual booster jab, and that we might still get some symptoms of C-19. But hopefully, we will not require a stay in ICU. More importantly, we can still spread the virus if we unknowingly have it.

  1. Thanks for mentioning that, Pete! Many think that it is a conventional vaccine. It is a kind of “precaution” to stimulate the human immune system. Incidentally, I don’t know why I always have to think of “Resident Evil” when I think of this Covid thing. I just miss Milla Jovovich in real life.   2. What if we are the ginny pigs and nobody knows the long time effects? Why get a vaccine for a virus that has a 99% survival rate? Sadly, I think there is a sinister cause behind the rush for ‘vaccinations’

    1. Maria, knowing my luck, I would be one of the 1% who died from it. I lost one of my oldest friends last May because of Covid-19, so I am taking no chances. If you feel it is unnecessary, then of course it is your right to refuse to have it.

      2. I forgot to mention that I am very sorry for your loss of your friend. What is so disturbing to me is that many good medical doctors have treatments that could have saved the lives of those vulnerable who died from covid. The disease has been treated as a huge mystery from the dark ages. Hydroxychloroquine, Zink, vitamin and D-vitamin and Ivermectin should have a lifesaving effect. These medicaments are even cheap

        1. I cannot comment more on the death of my friend, Maria. After all this time, it still upsets me. His daughter was pregnant, and he never got to see his grandson. I had known him since I was 17, so for 51 years. That goes well past arguments about vaccines and conspiracy theories, I’m afraid.

      Those who take the vaccine are indeed guinea pigs. The sinister cause may be because those who make the vaccines believe they will work which they never will, they are merely made to appear as if they do. It is marvelous what advertising can do if you want to make people buy what they don’t need.

      Or get governments to buy them on our behalf of course (which the taxpayer pays for).

      The cause may also be to expose those who are behind the vaccines as to the biggest fraud in history.

  3. You’re right to sound a note of caution. As long as the scientists can keep up with the virus mutations and a significant portion of the world population get vaccinated (and we’re very far from that yet), the illness could be controlled. Let’s hope people understand that, but…

    1. Thanks, Olga. Boris is crowing about the success, but once they open up travel and people start to visit places where there has been little vaccination or precautions, it could all spike here again.

    1. Because it’s a virus, vaccines cannot cure it for life. The best we can hope for against a virus is some kind of annual protection, similiar to the Flu jab. We have to learn to cope with it, and change many of our habits accordingly.

        Sorry to have to contradict you again, Pete, but that is wrong. You mix up vaccination against and treatment of an infection. Let me repeat: vaccinations have never been intended to cure. They are intended to protect you from infection. And there certainly are illnesses that vaccines can protect you fro for your life time with (usually) two shots, e.g. measles and rubella. In other cases, like the (common) flu, a yearly shot is necessary because that virus mutates too quickly. For the Corona virus the verdict is not out yet. Collecting and evaluating the data will take (a long) time. And during that time at least we will have to be VERY careful. In that I totally agree with you.

          I agree vaccinations have never been intended to cure. Sadly they are not intended to prevent infections either, although it is possible that those who make these things believe it.

          The main intention of those who make these things, at least the corporate bosses is to make large amounts of money at our expense and free from liability should things go wrong as you will find if you research they frequently do.

          I did not realise this until last year as I was careless and didn’t do any research on it until last year.

  6. I don’t know enough about epidemiology and the mutation of certain viruses to offer much of a comment. It’s so complicated it makes my head swim. But, if we can control Covid-19, much like we “control” seasonal flu, that may be the best we can hope for.

    2. You say you don’t know much about epidemiology. Sadly you share that with most so-called doctors around the world. It is quite possible you know more in some areas than they do.

      The ‘flu and Covid 19 are the same thing and merely poisons of various sorts. Some are those your body makes in the normal processing of food. You get urea out of that which your body then excretes by various routes.

      Then there are those poisons in food that do not need to be there such as sodium nitrite. There are other poisons in the soil, water and air.

      Then there are the poisons doctors give us in most drugs.

      And then there are poisons such as vaccines which do us no good at all, they have been merely made to look as though they do by various big pharma companies telling us they do.

      If our immune systems are in good working order, then we can avoid the ‘flu and Covid 19. If not then there are various downsides such as side effects and possible death if your state of health is really bad.

      That is it in a nutshell I think. It is not so complicated after all when you know the truth, but there are those who don’t want you to know that as they make large amounts of money from lying to us.

      Should you be a fan of The Who (as opposed to the W.H.O.!) then you will no doubt remember the words ‘the simple things are all complicated’. You can get away with murder (literally) if you complicate matters.

  9. Very true. As you say, hopefully it’ll keep us out of Intensive Care, but it won’t stop us catching it. I have to be hospitalised to have my jab, as I’m an allergic kind of gal. I’m on the waiting list to be called in to Ipswich Hospital overnight to have the AstraZeneca jab (GP told me there have been too many reactions to the Pfizer one apparently).

    1. I was chatting to some dog-walkers yesterday, and all were complaining of headaches or fatigue following vaccinations with either brand. I must have been very lucky to have had no side effects at all.

  11. “They are NOT a cure.” NO vaccination is a CURE. A cure comes when you are sick, a vaccination prevents you – in the dieal case – from getting sick.

    “However, the vaccines offered against Covid-19 only claim to ‘reduce symptoms that could make you require hospitalisation’.” – To my understanding, that misrepresents what the Time-article says. If I understand that article correctly, those vaccines DO prevent (most/spme) people from getting sick, but NOT EVERYONE who is vaccinated.

    But I totally agree that, because of the common misconception like “I’ve had my vaccination, so now I can’t get Covid” people surely will get careless. And then there’s also the mutations. I myself will, even after my second shot, adhere to the same precautions I am adhering to now: social distancing as before and wearing double masks: one a plain surgical one and one a KH95, as it is known here in the US [aka FFP2].

  13. You have nailed it. However, notice that the vaccines do minimize the impact of the COVID19 virus. The virus that causes the common cold, rhinovirus, has never been successfully impacted by vaccination and it has been around a very long time. So we get a kind of bottom-line protection from death with the Covid19 vaccines. I’ll take that over no protection. And I will keep wearing a mask and social distancing. Warmest regards, Theo

    1. One of the reasons I posted this. I have already seen people my age with their grandchildren this weekend, smiling at me and saying, “We’ve had our first dose”. They should know better.

  15. The 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing could be a super spreader, as athletes will be coming from all around the world. On the other hand, there are a few voices calling for a boycott for health (and political) reasons. Stay tuned.

      1. As Big Sports is Big Business, I’, afraid they will go ahead. The same as here in the US with the Superbowl and that irresponsible travelling of soccer teams all over Europe. The only interest is money, not lives.

    2. I think it’s irresponsible to still have the Olympics. These big International gatherings should stop for a while. Especially as you can compete in sports with a mask and still breathe fine
