    1. Yes, I have had some of that. It has become the celebrities who fascinate me. Some die younger than me, which surprises me, for some reason. Others live to an age that exceeded my expectation of their longevity. Keith Richard of the Rolling Stones is one example. He is 77 years old, looks like a walking corpse, yet appears to have the same vitality as when he was 27.

    1. I suppose my job made me more aware of death than most. But now I am almost 69, I note so many people of that age dying, or already dead. I suppose it is a morbid fascination with my own mortality.

  1. This happens to me quite often. And the opposite as well, Pete. Sometimes I’m convinced somebody is still alive, and then I get a shock when I realise they’ve been dead for years. So true!
