Ollie’s Holiday: Ice Cream For Dogs

On our recent holiday, we noticed that almost every cafe was selling a new formulation of ice cream for dogs. Ollie has enjoyed ‘human’ ice cream on a few occasions, as well as the residue of a few yoghurt pots. But we are aware that he is older, and less active now.

With that in mind, he was treated to a doggy ice cream on holiday, but just the one. It includes some crumbles of dog-biscuit, and Ollie devoured it, giving it his seal of approval on a warm afternoon.

More to come of Ollie on his holidays!

    1. The dog ice cream is quite a new thing here, Shaily. Supposedly specially formulated for dogs, and containing pieces of dog biscuit. Ollie certainly loved it! It costs £2 a portion though, so not cheap. 🙂
      Best wishes, Pete.

    1. He is 2 kilos heavier than last year, Pete. Less mobile now with arthritis in his front legs, and his shorter walks have made him put on weight. He gets less treats, hence only one ice cream. In human years, he is around 76 years old for his breed, so bound to put on some weight when being less active. 🙂
      Best wishes, Pete.

  1. I’m glad Ollie enjoyed it. A few restaurants around here have ice cream treats for dogs. If Cinnamon was still here I would get some for her. She used to enjoy the Frosty Paws ice cream treats I would buy for her at the store.
