I have spent a long time today approving and replying to genuine comments in my Trash folder.
This has meant that I have not finished today’s serial episode yet.
They eventually totalled 50, and some are still being trashed as I type.
None of them contain any particular banned words or phrases (or parts of phrases) from my list.
I do not have a clue why this is happening, so please bear with me until it stops. If it doesn’t stop, I fear I may have to revert to approving every comment, something I never wanted to have to do.
Some followers appear to be unaffected by this, and from what Carolyn told me, it seems to have something to do with the Reader, or replying directly to Email notifications.
All it has succeeded in doing is to make me even more fed up with WordPress than I usually am anyway.
You should blame AI. 🙂 The best solution for getting calm. xx Michael

I really appreciated knowing that was what happened to my comments. I am very used to hearing from you regularly and had wondered what had happened.

It took me two days to sort out the issue, though a couple of genuine comments have still been put in there for no good reason.
Best wishes, Pete.

I went through mine just to be sure. Got a very funny insult a couple of times.

Pete, I am being asked to re-enter my password any time I want to reply to most bloggers now, being told it’s being used elsewhere…however, when I am growing “reader”, that’s not the case….annoying to the extreme!

I managed to get an answer from WP this morning, using Live Chat. It seems to have worked.
Best wishes, Pete.

Great to hear Pete…I just keep being annoyed by my issue instead being proactive to solve it like you did!

Like me, you pay extra for Live Chat options, John. It is quick to use, and usually solves the problem.
Best wishes, Pete.

Yes, all of your comments were in Trash. I have been on with WP this morning, and hopefully made some progress.

Perhaps you should give the serial a rest today? I’m sure your followers would forgive you, and that would free up time to handle this sticky trash situation.

I never liked how the mobile and Windows apps worked and 99% of the time use the web interface. My WordPress nemesis is Jetpack.

I only use a PC and the main website, Andrew. I cannot blog on a phone or Tablet, too fiddly.

Have you submitted a help ticket to the inappropriately-named Happiness Engineers? This sounds like a bbug that they should fix.

I’m leaving a comment on your actual site instead of the reader where my last one went to your trash. Fingers crossed!
