Over the past few days, I have noticed something in my Admin Stats and Insights page.
Under ‘Clicks’, there is this.
‘WordPress.com/login?redirect’
That link takes me to the login page for my main blog.
Someone has been clicking on my ‘Site Admin’ link on the main Home Page. They presumably do not know my password for WordPress, or they might well have ‘hacked’ my blog.
So, why has someone been doing this for at least three days?
If that someone is you, please let me know why in the comments.
Then stop doing it.
There are some strange people in the world with nothing better to do than hack a blog? It’s sort of sad…xxoo, C

There are always people with too much time on their hands and no good idea of what to do with it to be productive. Warmest regards, Theo

When I went self-hosted my site was hacked twice, despite paying WordFence to prevent this. I’ve now reverted to WordPress hosting, despite its obvious shortcomings. Good luck Pete, in stopping our nefarious friends.

Not me!! I do click around searching for old serials that I haven’t read though. But never click where I shouldn’t. I do hope you figure out who is doing it and why.

Here’s hoping there’s nothing nefarious at foot! If I were you, I would remove the Meta section from your sidebar. I did that a long time ago and instead added bookmarks to my browser for log in/out, view posts/comments, etc.

Between hacking blog and hacking cough, I always go with the latter.

Pete, the scammers, disruptors and “bots” on social media is a despicable fact of life it seems. Oh, and just so you know, not me!

I know it is not any of my friends, John. I was vainly hoping someone might ‘boast’ about trying it. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

There is a chance that they clicked on it by accident, Molly. But not every day for three days.
