When I posted my holiday photos recently, I was upset that a photo of Julie and Ollie was spoiled by leaving in a plastic shopping bag, and Ollie’s drinking bowl. Here is the offending photo.
(All three photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.)
Two very kind blogging friends offered to edit the photo so they could not be seen, then sent me the edited result. I have no idea how to do this, so for me it is like a magic trick!
From Ed Westen. https://deartedandjody.wordpress.com/blog/
From Fraggle. https://fragglerocking.org/
I am very grateful to them both for their time and trouble, and I will have them printed soon.
Another great example of helpful community bloggers.
Great work! xx Michael

Wow, those are fabulous! What a difference taking out the bowl and bag! Fraggle is amazing! 💕C

I think it did make it a much better photo. I don’t usually bother about random things spoiling a photo, but they were both too garish.
Best wishes, Pete. x

A much better picture! Sam knows how to airbrush out anything he doesn’t like. I think he does it on ‘Paint’.

Some people like Sam thrive on learning new skills, but I can’t be bothered and let him do any airbrushing for me.

Great work and well done! I have tried to edit some photos myself, and the results are even worse than the original photo, so hats off to them!

I was going to suggest that using Photoshop but don’t really know how to do it myself! Turned out wonderful! 🙂

Daft or not, and I am prone to being daft, I still like your edit better. Warmest regards, Ed

The only difference I can see is that her edit is a larger image when viewed on my PC. Otherwise there is no difference. Thanks again, Ed.

Ah proof that the camera can lie, but great edit and nice result.

They did a great job of cleaning it, but that’s not what happened – so I prefer the original. No offense.

No offence taken, GP. I am with you as a rule, but for a framed photo for Julie, it won’t hurt to look ‘tidy’.
Best wishes, Pete.

https://cleanup.pictures/ Upload your picture, use the brush over what needs to go. BAM. Download the results. Also, Adobe Express is free to use online and will kill backgrounds for you. Put the wife and dog on a bench in the Parthenon if you want.

Phil, I do own Adobe Elements, but my computer skills are insignificant.

I often want to remove items from my pics and sometimes I can more or less do it, but I need to get the app which makes this magic possible. I’m always afraid to attempt new things!

I can’t even imagine how to do it, and trying to learn that is a technical bridge too far to cross for me. (I do have Photoshop Elements, but only manage to reduce file sizes on that.)
Best wishes, Pete.

I tried it too, and managed a similar result. On the free programme it only allowed a medium-sized file, but that was good enough for use on a blog. 🙂
