M=Mum
It was always going to be mum for ‘M’. What else could it have been?
I have written so much about my mum on this blog, I doubt anyone needs to be reminded of what a great mum she was to me, and what great friends we were. Rather than repeat all that, here is a link to a post about her.
I’m so sorry that I couldn’t meet your mother personally. All you have told about her is wonderful, as your remembrance. Best wishes, Michael

It is, Pete and especially this time of year as its mums birthday and Christmas she just doesn’t know in fact we have been advised not to send anything as she just keeps asking questions but not absorbing the answers xx

I am lucky to still have my Mum with me, and now that I’m back in Barcelona, I’m trying to make sure we spend time together. Thanks for sharing this, Pete.

No matter what Mom’s idiosyncrasies or issues, without them we wouldn’t be here, nor would we have survived childhood.

My Mom is a Missourian. At her age, she may be a shell of her former physical self, but she’s still sweet inside. (And when it comes to birthing a son, she has good taste!) #M&M

You were lucky to have such a wonderful mom, as was I. My husband was not so lucky but he loved my mom very much.

Not every mum manages to act like one, for various reasons. When you get a good one, they should be cherished.
Best wishes, Pete.

My mom was great. My mother-in-law was great. And my son’s mother is fantastic.

Glad to hear that, Don. My first two mother-in-laws were lovely. The third and current one, not so much… 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

No, but my wife doesn’t like her either. They have not exchanged a word for over six years. 🙂

My mum was only 2 months older than yours, and had a similar upbringing and teenage years marred by war. They were hard-working women who’d had a lot more to complain about than we’ve ever had.
