I first recieved the following quote as a video featuring Mark Twain, while Twain may have penned this comment, it appears that it is more likely from Shera Starr. It also appeared in something from Sir David Attenborough. Regardless of the origin and regardless of your political leanings, this should resonate.

  1. Everything don’t change much, but there HAS been a change of uncharacteristically large proportion since Donald Trump came into political power. Some see him as a hero of what was and ought to be again. Some see him as a villain who has stolen progress. I’ve never had an ounce of respect for Trump, however, one man can’t shake the jar hard enough to turn the “ants” against one another unless the ants already had it within themselves to turn violent toward one another. One might shake, but unlike ants, humans are not helpless, inexcusable, ignorant, incompetent, soulless, illogical or devoid of reasoning. We have made conscious choices to act as we are toward each other. No excuses. We can turn and act in beneficent ways without an external locus of control. We alone will be responsible for our choices.
