This tends to sum up the ‘human situation’. Thanks, Loren.
I first recieved the following quote as a video featuring Mark Twain, while Twain may have penned this comment, it appears that it is more likely from Shera Starr. It also appeared in something from Sir David Attenborough. Regardless of the origin and regardless of your political leanings, this should resonate.

“If you catch 100 red fire ants as well as 100 large black ants, and put them in a jar, at first, nothing will happen. However, if you violently shake the jar and dump them back on the ground the ants will fight until they eventually kill each other. The thing is, the red ants think the black ants are the enemy and vice versa, when in reality, the real enemy is the person who shook the jar. This is exactly what’s happening in society today. Liberal vs. Conservative. Black vs. White. Pro Mask vs. Anti-Mask. Vax vs. Anti-vax…

Everything don’t change much, but there HAS been a change of uncharacteristically large proportion since Donald Trump came into political power. Some see him as a hero of what was and ought to be again. Some see him as a villain who has stolen progress. I’ve never had an ounce of respect for Trump, however, one man can’t shake the jar hard enough to turn the “ants” against one another unless the ants already had it within themselves to turn violent toward one another. One might shake, but unlike ants, humans are not helpless, inexcusable, ignorant, incompetent, soulless, illogical or devoid of reasoning. We have made conscious choices to act as we are toward each other. No excuses. We can turn and act in beneficent ways without an external locus of control. We alone will be responsible for our choices.

A good conspiracy theorist might suggest reading a book called The Sovereign Individual, but then that just leads to more conflicts between conspiracy theories 🙂

Rees-Mogg? I wouldn’t give his dad a penny of my money by buying his book. 🙂

Very true. Unfortunately there are several jar-shakers. When one stops shaking, another one has a go.

I’ve seen this before. The message is totally accurate. How do we get at the shaker?

Politicians, the media, the Dark State. Unfortunately we never know exactly who is shaking the jar at any given time, Carolyn.
Best wishes, Pete.

From what I understand, a good way to get at it is to go inward ~ as a lot of folks seem to be doing that right now, individually all together (‘kay, wait… 😂)

Jar Jar Binks is shaking the jar. That’s why nobody likes him.

I also get the feeling someone is shaking the jar. People are turning against one another when they’ve all been poured out o the same jar.
