Can anyone offer help or advice to Lorraine? She is a blind blogger experiencing great difficulties in managing her blog to her satisfaction.
Every morning my emails from WP come through from blogs that I am following. There are all the usual challenges in there and also other bloggers’ responses to challenges. I so much would like to join in these challenges but as a newly blind person I find I do not know how to get to them from my emails. Are there any blind people out ther who can help? Or anyone else for that matter. My activities on WP are so limited now and it irks me. I can make my posts and with help reply to comments but I cannot go to other peoples’ blogs and read and comment although when I have help I can get my cursor into the reply boxes and type out my own response. Is there anyone who can help please?
I am using an iPad and voiceover by the way.
I hope Lorraine had found help. I am suffering on WP myself. They seem to decide by themselves which email notifications arriving in my inbox. ;-/ xx Michael

Lorraine has extra issues as she can only use a Tablet. Many of the helpful applications for blind people can only be used on a PC.
Best wishes, Pete.

This is really a big problem. We are discussing AI, but we are not able making applications usable also for people with special needs. xx Michael

I can only imagine how difficult it might be, considering how we struggle without having the added challenges Lorraine faces. I will share and let’s hope somebody with the right kind of expertise can help.

If I were blind, I wouldn’t be able to read, but I’d be able to type, as I never look at my keyboard while typing. I hope Lorraine finds a solution to her problem.

Thanks, David. I believe Lorraine can type. It is the other aspects of blogging that give her problems.

Not a great thing to say, but as widespread as voice prompt use is, it is not really designed for navigation. Particlularly on iOS, which is difficult enough to perform notmal tasks on for a dexterous, sighted person.

I wish I could help, but I cannot even like a blog on my iPad, only on my laptop and I can see what I am doing – if the print is large enough. I hope someone can help.
