It’s a worldwide issue Pete: fear and therefore hate all “others” – scream loudly that they are going to overrun you and take over – target them for beliefs that are different than yours – make them a faceless evil which makes it easier to want them destroyed – scary scary scary – seems we have begun to devolve in the worst ways
