Thanks to the website ‘Daily Stuff’, for these quirky photos of exceptionally large animals.
A huge bull.
An enormous horse.
A very large cat.
Giant Red kangaroo, strong enough to crush a metal bucket.
Huntsman Spider, the largest by leg span.
A huge Vulture.
Flying Fox, the largest type of Bat. (Five feet long)
The biggest butterfly, The Atlas Moth Butterfly.
A very big Flemish Rabbit.
The world’s biggest ant, found in the Amazon Rainforest.
A Goliath Beetle, the largest beetle known.
Huge frog!
Here the obsession is around the biggest pumpkin, the widest sunflower and the heaviest tomato. I did pay a dollar at a local fair to see the biggest pig since my grandchildren insisted. I guess they just drive him around from town to town and feed him. He was very content.

We have ‘biggest pumpkins’ here too. My cousin one the top prize once! 🙂

Hi Pete, these animals and creatures are all amazing. The bat must be Dracula.

Flying Foxes are actually very cute, Robbie. I would happily have one as a pet. 🙂

I see these creatures live in East Africa. Maybe I’ll see one when I go to Kenya.

The muscles on that kangaroo put me to shame and he (if it’s a he) has that scooby doo look

It is a male kangaroo, and he is apparently quite famous in Australia.

We have small British bats roosting in the trees in our garden. I love to feel them flying around my head if I sit outside quietly at dusk. 🙂

We have a bunch close by and we watch them at dusk in the early hours before dawn…..chuq

I think it is faked. Somebody, probably Elvis, went to the Shire and got hobbits to pose with normal size creators,

I suppose anythng is possible, Don. But the beetle is well known to be large, so too the huge frog, butterfly, large cats (Maine Coons) and Flemish rabbits.
Once AI takes over the Internet, I might have to stop posting! 🙂 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

Wowsers! Nearly all of those are best avoided, I would say! [even the horse: I’m not a horsey person 😉 ] Cheers, Jon.

The big cat would just be like any cat, (same with the rabbit) and I think the larger horse breeds are generally more sedate. The only one shown that I wouldn’t go anywhere near is the huge spider! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

I wouldn’t want to be in a field with that bull! Horse is gorgeous. That spider…we have some like it here but if I ever see one I shall faint. The man and frog both look so sad :(. Kangaroo….not sure about that one. I know they can pack a punch but those muscles don’t look real…?

Apparently that kangaroo is/was quite famous in Australia. While not a true pet, he is/was fairly tame, and his muscles are apparently genuine.
Glad you liked the horse. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

Fruit bats in SE Asia can get very large, as the photo shows. I like them though. 🙂

The bull immediately brought to mind Paul Bunyon’s ox Blue. That huge bat is horrifying. I’m already terrified of regular-size bats.

I like bats. We have them roosting in the two Oak Trees, and if you sit quietly in the garden, they will fly close to your head to eat mosquitoes. But our bats are tiny, not 5-feet long! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
