Blogger’s Books: Kevin Morris

I am happy to announce a new book by poet, writer, and blogger, Kevin Morris. Something to help raise a smile, which we can all do with these days.

Kevin has sent me some sample verses.

There Once Was a Policeman Named Warner

There once was a policeman named Warner
Who raided a rather famous old sauna.
He found Miss Hocking
Without shoe or stocking.
And a politician discussing politics with Lorna…

When a Philosophical Young Lady Named Gwen

When a philosophical young lady named Gwen
Climbed to the top of Big Ben
And a policeman called Lyme
Said, “tell me the time”,
“Time has no real existence”, said Gwen!

Swansong

There was an old man named Long
Who wept as he sang his swansong.
They took off their hats
And whacked him with bats.
And so ended that swansong of long!

Here are some links to Kevin’s writing, and also links to buy this latest book.

THE OUTRAGEOUS MISS APRIL FOOL

If you have yet to be captivated by the writing style of the talented Mike Steeden, wait no longer. His new book is available now!

- MIKE STEEDEN -

15 months after I put pen to ink and at last the new book, ‘The Outrageous Miss April Fool’ is born.

On the way it didn’t help that Rosie the gypsy dog ‘bitch’…sometimes worthy of that non-canine definition…decided to ‘bark’ many a long hour. Oh, how I wish I could speak the ‘bark’ language. I’d ask her why the hell she’s so very bossy. Still we love her dearly, she has character. On top of that, a couple of irksome, forever illnesses slowed me down. Then there was an abundance of historical and social research…that was hard work. Such is life.

Anyhow, here ‘tis; the new book at last. For the record, Miss April Fool was based upon my real life lady, Shirley. In many respects they are one and the same. They are both bonkers…in a good way, I stress. I once wrote of Shirl, ‘…My Celtic lady…

Here she is.

And here is her book.

Grow Damn It! is a captivating work by Cheryl Oreglia, who uses uncommon honesty and arresting humor to draw you into her cantankerous life, forty-year marriage, and revolving empty nest. She claims the space between past and future is where our potential is created or destroyed.

If you don’t like where your life is going, dig deeper, and write a new story. By weeding out the things that clutter her life, she invites you into a refreshing space with some of her most popular posts from her beloved blog Living in the Gap.

She surrounds herself with a gaggle of intriguing friends, along with a large and rambunctious family who challenge both her and the reader to live fully in an ever-changing world. Her provocative writing dares us to confront our lives not only with optimism, but courage, and uproarious laughter. Oreglia uses her experience to explore what matters most in life… the degree to which we love and are loved.

Blogger’s Books: David Styles

David is a blogger who was a licenced Black Cab driver in London for a very long time. It takes years to pass the test to become one, known as The Knowledge, and is not for the faint-hearted. The iconic Black Taxi (also seen in other colours) has been a feature of London’s streets for decades, and remains so to this day.

If you want some insight into the daily life of a licenced taxi driver on the streets of Britain’s capital, you cannot find a better book.

To celebrate the book launch there is a chance to win a free copy, along with an Amazon voucher. Check out today’s post on David’s great blog.

You can also buy a copy in paperback or on Kindle. And if you are a Kindle Unlimited member, it is included free.

Cabbieblog is also worth reading for a wealth of London trivia, quizzes about London, and David’s opinions on just about anything. Please give him some encouragement with the new book, and enjoy his writing. I already have my Kindle copy, added to a long list of others waiting to be read.

Repackaged system of EUGENICS?

This Borg-like deterministic faith in the human-machine synthesis that pervades the thinking of all modern transhumanists is both cultish, creepy and just plain wrong. However, without a proper evaluation of the historic roots of these ideas, which threaten to push global civilization into a dystopian nightmare, it is impossible to understand anything fundamental about the past 250 years of human experience, let alone see where the fatal flaws lie within the Great Reset/Transhumanist operating system. That system, of course, is simply a repackaged system of eugenics under a new name that was developed in the aftermath of World War II.

Please read this. It’s really important.

This is HUGELY important to know – the “who” and “how” we are/were controlled as useless eaters and disposables. I just finished compiling a book “Finding the Invisibles” about these very same guys.
