I might be the only person who actually prefers Janet Jackson to her more famous brother, Michael. But I can live with that.
In 1997, I bought her new album, ‘The Velvet Rope’. I couldn’t stop playing it, and one track in particular. It also made me realise how useful it was to have a CD player instead of a record player, as I could just key in the track number. I still love that album now, especially this song.
And she was quite gorgeous, which doesn’t hurt.

I like some of Michael’s songs, but I prefer Janet too. Besides her great music, she’s easy on the eyes.

I agree, she was gorgeous as well as very talented. I can’t say I was a great fan of her brother, despite his talent. I thought he was a rather sad figure.

Can’t say I recognised this song, Pete, and I can take or leave it, to be honest: it’s not a style that really ‘grabs’ me, but I don’t dislike it either. Michael was more popular in his time, and undoubtedly a trendsetter, before the rumours started; his music was of its time, but a few, like Thriller, really stand out. Cheers, Jon.
