If you look at the bumper on the front of this car, you will see how we shop for poultry in Beetley!
This is our dog, Ollie, enjoying a refreshing dip in the sea at Holkham.
It has taken me ages tonight, just to work out how to import pictures onto this blog! A sure sign of advancing years. Now I have finally managed to add these two to this post, I am going to call it a night. More to come, when I have the necessary patience. I have even sent out a desperate request to WordPress for advice, so you can ignore it, if you see it.
Looks like a very lovely small village, and Ollie is so nice. Maybe he once wanted to become a fish because he was constantly looking for water. Lol

He does love to cool down in water, that’s true. His feet get too hot! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
(Did you see my videos of Ollie? I forget if you did)

But he’s not running a marathon. ;-)It just looks great to see him standing in the water as a matter of course.

If I were angry now, I would say that here in China, when assembling, the cooling had been forgotten. Lol (Sorry!;-))

Sorry “wicked” would be the better word.

Poor little pheasant.

Hundreds of them get killed by cars and trucks here every month, Kim. They strut around in the road, then leave it too late before they fly off.
Best wishes, Pete.

This short post is from 2012, so not that many of you have seen it before. This was the first time I managed to insert photos into a blog post, after many hours of frustrating experiments. Ollie was just nine months old then. He no longer likes to wade in the sea, much preferring freshwater rivers or ponds.

Great pictures, and I’m happy to see you mastered inserting pictures into your posts.. You should have seen me trying it for the first time… I won’t say how many days it took to figure out just setting up the blog face page with all of the doo dads and the like.. I finally got it to where I wanted it and then I closed that account and took a winters break.. Coming back was a breeze thank goodness as I somehow remembered what to do,.. LOL.. aw those aging brain cells…
Take care, Laura

It seems so easy now, but at the time it gave me a right royal brain-ache, Laura.

I’ve been looking for a dead pheasant, but I was hoping it was the one that is eating our cabbages!

By the way, these are very old shots from my SLR, back in 2012. These are the new ones from this week. https://beetleypete.wordpress.com/2015/07/16/at-last-some-photos/

I can’t tell for sure, but I suspect there is a dead bird in the grille of that car! I think I’m to blame for at least one fatal “pigeon collision.” Of course, pigeons are not exactly an endangered species. Even in Las Vegas, they are quite numerous. Nice photo of Ollie. If I were going to have a dog, that would be a breed that would definitely interest me. And, no, I wouldn’t enter him/her into any dogfights (reminds me of a chapter from “White Fang”).

You are correct, it is a dead bird, a pheasant! The nurse was visiting a neighbour, and she hadn’t noticed that the bird was dead in her front grille…
It is not uncommon around here to see lots of dead animals in the roads, but they are not so common still stuck to the car!
Regards from Norfolk, Pete.

Don’t know if you are a sports fan, but there is a famous clip where Hall of Famer, Randy Johnson, unintentionally obliterates a dove. What are the odds? What a way to go from a bird’s perspective!🤣 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sIiajEEETw

Oops, not sure why the link isn’t working. Anyway, consider googling it if you want to see a trainwreck.

Your emoji was too close to the link. I got it working now.
I can’t imagine throwing a ball so hard that it could kill a bird in flight. At least it died instantly. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
