Eight years ago today, Ollie was two months old, and came to live with us full-time. I gave him a stuffed-toy gorilla that was twice his size, and he loved to lie on his bed with it to comfort him.
The photo was taken on Julie’s old phone, but you can still see how cute and wrinkly he was!

Happy belated birthday to Ollie! Christoph Fischer (I know he’s one of your favourite writers), lost one of his dogs, Greta, at the grand old age of 15, yesterday. She was a wonderful dog. To many happy years for Ollie and you all.

She is still working at her job, because she works for the local doctor. But they are keeping the staff safe by restricting the numbers of people going inside.

When he got older, he carried the gorilla around in his mouth. Then one day, he bit off the banana it was holding, then quietly chewed the gorilla’s face off. I was sad to have to throw it away. 🙂
