Seasonal Greetings From Beetley

Whether or not you celebrate Christmas, I would like to wish every one of my blogging friends a Happy Christmas anyway. I hope that all of you can be around friends or family, or someone or something important to you at this time of year. I am not including a ‘Happy New Year’, as I hope to be back to regular blogging by the 31st.

I am aware that in some countries, Christmas Eve is the day for present giving and some feasting and celebration. So I am posting this a day early.

  1. Dear Pete,
I hope you get over your illness soon.
I’ve had a cold since yesterday, but negative for Covid, with a cough, runny nose, headache. Well, what a cold is like.
So this year it’s also a very lonely Christmas for me.
We have to make the best of it.
    Merry Christmas.
    Best wishes, Irene

  3. (1) A friend of Benjamin Franklin’s family asked his wife this question: “Do we give a Franklin a wreath, or do we give Aretha Franklin?”
    (2) After Rudolph came Covid the virulent reindeer. Not surprisingly, the other reindeer didn’t let poor Covid join in any reindeer games.
    (3) Since you can’t get any sleep, you might as well find a comfy chair and wait up for Santa to come down the chimney. If you have a chance to engage him in a conversation, ask him whether or not he has any elf bones in his claus-et.
    (4) Marry Christmas! And don’t ever divorce it!
    (5) Sending blessed wishes to you, Julie, Ollie, and all those nutty squirrels in your tree!

  4. Merry Christmas to you and yours Pete and Happy Holidays to all…I have been on a “Planes Trains And Automobiles” journey over the past few days, as this cold weather bomb cyclone throughout much of the US has been challenging…but it will all be fine and I look forward to seeing more from you in 2023 – cheers!
