Finally managed some photos

This short post is from 2012, so not that many of you have seen it before. This was the first time I managed to insert photos into a blog post, after many hours of frustrating experiments. Ollie was just nine months old then. He no longer likes to wade in the sea, much preferring freshwater rivers or ponds.

I did something wrong back then, so the photos cannot be enlarged. Sorry.

If you look at the bumper on the front of this car, you will see how we shop for poultry in Beetley!

This is our dog, Ollie, enjoying a refreshing dip in the sea at Holkham.

It has taken me ages tonight, just to work out how to import pictures onto this blog! A sure sign of advancing years. Now I have finally managed to add these two to this post, I am going to call it a night. More to come, when I have the necessary patience. I have even sent out a desperate request to WordPress for advice, so you can ignore it, if you see it.

  1. There he is! Young and healthy in water the color of his coat. Congrats on the longevity of your blog and the amount of followers who follow you. You deserve all the love and companionship you receive on the blog. What a successful hobby for you in retirement!

    1. Thanks, Maggie. That’s a ‘yes and no’. I often struggle still. For example, I cannot get my PC to recognise my new smartphone photos. I have downloaded apps, been on help forums, and even contacted the manufacturer. The phone is recognised as a ‘device’, but when I click on ‘photos’, it says ‘no content’. Very frustrating for a Tech-Dumbo! I can only send photos from my phone by email to get them onto the PC, or upload them to You Tube.
      Best wishes, Pete.

  2. I hit a falcon driving back from London one night, didn’t know a thing about it (except for a bump) until someone pointed it out to me at a petrol station. Unfortunately it had broken right through the front grill so cost me some money to replace it. I guess it had been feeding on road kill and didn’t move out of the way quick enough.

    1. Always sad to kill things with the car. I haven’t got used to it since moving here, but I must have killed quite a few pheasants and rabbits, rather than have an accident on the A47. The only things I ran over in London were pigeons.
      Best wishes, Pete.
