Yes, my mum always intended to use the combed fur for knitting. It didn’t harm the rabbits, and I think she had it spun into wool by someone locally, or perhaps the wool shop. She certainly didn’t own or use a spinning wheel.
Best wishes, Pete.
We had three Angoras. A large male, and two females. My mum used the fur from them for knitting with. Shame they don’t live for very long.
Best wishes, Pete.
I have Pitiryasis Rosea, which is possbly an allergy. (They don’t know why people get it) And I always suffer badly from hay fever, insect bites or wasp stings, etc. But I am lucky to have never been allergic to pets. Hope those side effects stop soon, Stevie.
Best wishes, Pete.

Funny, Pete! I hope this is not a recommendation so close to Easter. Otherwise a rabbit usually ends up in the pan.

I bet you did. Many teachers have rabbits as classroom pets, so children can experience the same thing you did. Best to you, Pete.

Pets do that to a person. (At the time did you know it would become yard?) Warmest regards, Theo

Those three rabbits were so soft. Chinchillas are softer, but Angora rabbits come close.

I am one of life’s allergic gals. I’ve been having various reactions to the vaccine over the last few days and feel a bit meh, if that’s a word.

Me too. I was supposed to go to the optician’s today, but postponed it as the yellow dye might have been the straw that broke the camel’s back.
