  1. (1) You know how Sisyphus must constantly roll a boulder uphill, only to have it roll back down again before reaching the hilltop? Same goes for an Eskimo who builds an igloo in Hell, except that before finishing it, the igloo melts. (You’re free to endlessly recycle this analogy.)
    (2) Anne Frank: “I fought the law, and the law won.”
    (3) I kind of agree with Ricky Gervais.
    (4) Cruise missiles and attack drones have no say in the matter of their usage. And they don’t have any feelings either. Yet.
    (5) I’d like to break some of the rules of being human. Rules are meant to be broken.
    (6) People should care about our food supply. Where’s the beef?
    (7) “Thinking is difficult, that’s why most people judge.” I never thought about that, and probably still won’t.

    1. I very much agree with Ricky. Kindness should not be too selective. And there is overwhelming evidence that serial killers begin by torturing and killing animals.

      Best wishes, Pete.

  2. All very solid. I would disagree with some of Fr,’s rather superficial humanisms, but that’s the beauty of being Catholic. My real comment – The devil’s circle of the food issue is far mor dimensional and faceted than ‘a things aren’t like they used to be’ and capitalism rant. HOwever, in the short term, I blame electric automobile windows.

      1. I’m an argumentative Catholic. I think women should have equal rights, among other things. The thing is, if you’re going to a church, go to the first one realizing everything beyond the original concepts is human BS, the bible is edited literature and the muse is universal. 🤣
