You’re The Best Thing
I have recently been consumed with A-Z challenges, my new camera, and a short holiday. Despite those diversions, music has not gone away, and I have recently been reminded of more songs that have played a part in my life, whether directly, or in the periphery of all these years.
I have featured the British band The Style Council before. Fronted by the talented Paul Weller, they were my favourite incarnation of his long career to date. My most recent post featured his then wife and backing singer, D.C. Lee, and reminded me just how much I love this song, from 1984. This is from the album ‘Cafe Bleu’, released in the same year. Despite everything that has happened in my life since, I still love this song, with a vengeance.
Great song. Now I’ve got it in my head.

I think I have pictures of me wearing the same style jumper, getting down at some party that I wasn’t allowed to be at. Enjoyed listening to this one again.

The “best thing” applies to a lot of different things. Bravo.
