I spent so much time searching for things I thought I needed, or wanted.
Emotional things, physical things, tactile things.
Possessions in the hand, or of the mind and spirit.
Only to discover I had them all the time, and hadn’t realised.
That they were never what I had expected them to be.
Love this, simple but hard earned lessons, you describe them so succinctly! C

Thanks, Cheryl. I had all these written down in a notebook, in 2019. Thought it was time to post them now.
Best wishes, Pete.

Too many people spend their lives searching, they are the ones I feel sorry for.

Yes, for many, that search never ends.

What a hungry cow really needs is the hay, not the needle.

On the contrary, Don and Pete, I think we are all born wise. Then, We cry only for things that we can’t live without–a little food, something to cover us when cold and loads of love. The years that pass bring the unwisdom that comes with time and society–we want a grander job, bigger house, bigger garden, riches, success, bright children with great future…it is only towards the end that the wisdom Returns…

The give and take of the aging process. The acquiring of wisdom comes at a cost.

My own four penn’orth is that many of the world’s problems are caused by action being taken too quickly, when more time spent on reflection & consideration would mostly prevent those actions being taken. I would like to think that the time we have spent locked down recently might have allowed for more constructive introspection, but I’m not holding my breath……. Cheers, Jon.

I am expecting any full return from lockdown to result in a jamboree of excess, followed by ‘situation normal’ for so many.
