I recently came across this old post, published before there were photos of me on this blog. It has hardly been read in the past 10 years, and I think only Jude will remember it.
I keep busting on friends of mine whose icons are all at least 25 to 30 years old. I looked up a guy the other day, my age, and I was like he’s either found the fountain of youth or he’s another icon liar. The truth is most of could pass for Ollie’s head shot!
You wear Ollie’s face well! 🙂 Perhaps I got the idea to use Tiger’s picture for my gravatar from you? Seeing my face everywhere when I post a comment would be strange to me. 🙂 But I have not shied away from occasionally sharing a photo of me and Bob from my travels in a blog post. I also have a photo in my About page though I sometimes think of removing it.
I have quite a few photos of me on the blog since I first posted this, and a large one on my About Page. I like to see the photos of other bloggers on their blogs, but I think we have both chosen appropraite images for our Gravatars. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
I have always tried not to judge “a book by its cover” in a face-to-face sense. You can just never know what goes on in other people’s lives. In blogging I don’t feel the need to know the writer’s physical appearance. If I enjoy the writing I follow and over time you form an opinion so it is fun to see how right or wrong you may have been. I like that you have Ollie’s face there, just as I have Yeti’s.
I use different versions of Ollie on social media. On Google, it is the photo of both of us, from my About Page. I will never change my WP comments photo of Ollie though.
Best wishes, Pete.
I’ve seen a couple of photos of you that you’ve put on here. I’d never heard of Steven Berkoff, but I looked him up and yes, the two of you are very similar. Brudders from anuddermudda.
There are perhaps 6 photos of me on here, including the large one on my About Page. But I wrote the post before I decided to add them.
Best wishes, Pete.
It was fun to see this blast from the past. My blog is full of photos of me ranging from age 2 months to nearly the present.

Since writing this, I have also added photos of me through the ages. From a baby photo, to one taken in 2023.
Best wishes, Pete.

One reason I use Ollie as my Gravatar is because I look so much like him anyway. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

I was never going to put my photo on here, but now there are several. At one time, people actually asked me to do that. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
